Beats & Pieces May 2019
My ears are always open.
Whether its switching through stations on the satellite, watching a movie or walking through a store, DJs and music types are always listening. It’s our job and quite honestly, we can’t help it.
Rather than wait until I can put these gems into relatable topics, I will pass along some of the cooler things that have crossed my path in the past few weeks. Some will never make it into the crate, but the ones that are worth it will always end up on one of my drives. Here are a few to add to the spring playlist.
First off is a dope little synth drenched number from Austin, TX outfit, Bronze Whale. Then we have the legendary Sean Price making a posthumous appearance with a slew a heavy hitting MCs courtesy of a Small Professor Wu-like soundscape. Capping things off is a gully-ass grinder from Alabama rapper, Yelawolf, who delivers his usual southern slang.
Peace.
