Every once in awhile I get a shout from a friend online about someone they think I should check out. History has taught me to always give it some consideration because more times than not these people knew what they’re talking about. They’ve sniffed out some talent and want to see if they can help them move their careers along. I’m no gatekeeper to the industry but I’m probably good for some decent advice, some laughs and a few shows here and there. That’s how I came into contact with Zack Braddick when he was working with an old friend of mine at a local dealership.
We started corresponding and eventually I found a few gigs for him through my production company, trusting him enough to man one of the rooms at our biggest party of the year on New Years Eve. Braddick did not disappoint, so the plan was to get the ball rolling this year with some more shows in the city.
That is until all hell broke loose.
Braddick began honing his craft in 2015 and has been putting in some serious work over the past few years. He has built his selector skills through his love of Melbourne bounce, and has continued his progression to dirtier and bigger styles like bass house. This self-described animal lover who shares his home with dogs, cats and “anything I find in my driveway” has been putting in the hours fine-tuning his chops in the studio, as well.
With Ableton being his weapon of choice, Zack put aside his affinity for the shoot-em-up good times of one of his favourite pastimes, the video game Apex, to put in some production work. His latest Emengy Deep release “Forever” is available on most major platforms today, so we wanted to give it a big shout. You can find it right here in addition to some other choice cuts that he thinks you should hear.
